3.2 Ready, set ... Lifelong learning is a reality that is here to stay and to reinforce itself. It is no longer possible to understand a career without continuous tra-ining for those who are confronted every day with the evolution of their job. This is even more important for people with disabilities, who must strengthen their reality of inclusion and conti-nuous improvement and turn it into a guarantee for the future. The ONCE was born with the intention of trai-ning and, no less than in 1950 it started training its workers and even the first blind women to gain access to employment in Spain, with the aim and conviction that it was a means to earn a better future for themselves. During 2023, face-to-face training increased, without abandoning the use of the virtual campus and virtual classrooms - which are fully consolidated and allow a wider reach of people, some with mobility difficulties - to reach 529,469 hours, a figure that repre-sents an increase of more than 31% over the previous year. ONCE carried out 167 training actions with 71,543 attendances, which meant a total of 418,854 hours of training received by wor-kers, with an investment of more than 2.4 million euros. Ilunion continued the “Training Ilunion” project to integrate training from the Peo-ple Management and Talent Development Department, and carried out 169,392 hours focused on subjects such as improvement in the workplace and professional develo-pment; social and personal skills; diversity and its link with the family-responsible bu-siness model; disability; digital transforma-tion and innovation; and dissemination and assimilation of the values of the corporate culture. And the Foundation added 8.118 hours distri-buted across 1,131 training actions, structured around institutional, strategic and business objectives that exponentially boost knowle-dge. We continued to put faith in training in digital transformation as a support for the necessary digitalisation of the activity. The management team continued the “Lea-ding to transform” cycle of conferences; and the LinkedIn Learning training platform re-mained available to the workforce, adding the ViLearning initiative, which consists of providing a selection of LinkedIn training actions every 15 days on issues of general interest. Likewise, in 2023, the SSFF (Success Fac-tors) learning module was launched as a di-gital framework for training management, and this same platform launched the ques-tionnaire for detecting training needs for the four entities of the ONCE Foundation’s Executive Area. Also, through the individual development plans derived from the CRE-CE project, different initiatives and training needs have been identified which, once analysed and structured, will contribute to the definition of priorities for the 2024 trai-ning plan.
